‘The restaurant, hotel, bakery and confectionery industries are facing unforeseen challenges in view of the numerous pressing issues of our time,’ says Claudia Johannsen, Division Manager at Hamburg Messe und Congress. ‘But the industry is coming together – and as a partner of the entire foodservice and hospitality market, we offer a unique platform for that. At INTERNORGA 2023, our guests will discover solutions and products that can support the restaurant, hotel and bakery industries in these difficult times, help them progress and provide them with new prospects.’
Successful trend areas will continue in 2023
From start-ups to global corporations – as the most important industry meeting place, INTERNORGA not only brings together all segments of the foodservice and hospitality market under one roof, but also offers ambitious newcomers and major players the opportunityto present their latest products and solutions. Well-known and up-and-coming national and international brands will be among them. In the popular Newcomers’ Area, fresh concepts that combine entrepreneurial spirit and visions for the future find their ‘own’ home.
‘In view of the positive feedback from all participants, we are looking forward to further expanding our trend areas such as Digital Applications and the Craft Spirit Lounge in the coming year,’ says Matthias Balz, Project Manager at INTERNORGA. ‘With an eye on the Reusable Packaging Act, which will come into force in 2023, the Packaging & Delivery area in particular will gain in importance and provide the trade audience with appropriate solutions.‘
INTERNORGA brings all together
INTERNORGA has always been a partner of the big hospitality family. This is especially true in challenging times like these. In 2023, the trade fair will once again be the platform for trends, new developments and networking and allow high-level interaction between like-minded people and experts. In that context, the trade fair will focus on innovative concepts in the coming year: there will be a new meeting point and discussion forum for all newcomers and sustainability topics. The new INTERNORGA Open Stage will be a hub for current topics and insights that are affecting the industry. It allows targeted know-how transfer from the industry, for the industry, in order to meet the omnipresent challenges with suitable solutions.
In addition, INTERNORGA creates numerous other opportunities for dialogue in an inspiring atmosphere: CaféFuture Live is a relaxed place of retreat or the ideal meeting place for networking, where guests can enjoy culinary samples as well as alternating expert talks, while inspiration and impetus are provided by the central visitor magnet, the Pink Cube.
Awards and successful congresses round off the programme
Whether it is the international Foodservice Forum or the German catering congress – next year, INTERNORGA will once again be the platform for the industry’s largest and most important brain-food and networking events. The fact that the trade fair also functions as a trend barometer and career booster for young talents in the restaurant and hotel industries is proven by the awards, which will be presented once again in 2023: the Next Chef Award is regarded as a springboard for young, up-and-coming chefs. They cook for the coveted award under the patronage of celebrity chef Johann Lafer. The INTERNORGA Future Award honours visionaries who set new standards for the industry with sustainable and innovative ideas. The Deutscher Gastro-Gründerpreis is awarded by the Leaders Club industry network together with INTERNORGA and orderbird to promising restaurant concepts and thus helps start-up entrepreneurs to get off to a successful start.
Claudia Johannsen is looking forward to the upcoming event: ‘Preparations for INTERNORGA 2023 are in full swing. The first halls are almost fully booked. This shows that INTERNORGA is viewed as an indispensable industry highlight of the foodservice and hospitality market. We are particularly pleased that exhibiting companies that were not represented in 2022 due to the pandemic have also announced their participation for the coming year. In addition, we are looking forward to numerous exciting start-ups and fresh, innovative concepts.’
