Award categories

The INTERNORGA future award is awarded in a structured and transparent evaluation process. The award follows a sustainable strategic approach and is orientated on the overall various effects that a product or company has in and beyond its own sector.

The trendsetters in their sector – companies, who set the highest standards to their power of innovation and the social and ecological effects of their products and their own company and thus are an example for their sector, are rewarded. The following are evaluated e.g.:

The award in this category celebrates technology and equipment innovations, that convince with innovative and intelligent solutions. If they demonstrate and make exemplary sustainability possible, they are the trendsetters in their sector. They set standards for innovation, quality, respect for resources and functionality. Efficiency and economy in the implementation and use of energy and materials, long product shelf life, repair and update possibility are examples here, as well as technological innovations that optimise work methods and thus create new standards for sustainable equipment.

 

Every company represented at the INTERNORGA in Hamburg with its products as an exhibitor can apply. The award in this category honours technology and equipment innovations, that convince with innovative and intelligent solutions. If they demonstrate and make exemplary sustainability possible, they are the trendsetters in their sector. They set standards for innovation, quality, respect for resources and functionality.

In this category a product from the food and drink category that stands out e.g. through high innovative power and sustainable effectiveness for those application areas is rewarded. Healthy and organic-ecological valuable raw materials also have a place here as well as high quality in processing and flavour, but also fair production standards, recycling and lots more. The nutritional physiological and culinary properties are just as important, such as sustainable production, recycling and transparency about the raw materials used and their origins. Because it is only in a combination of attractiveness, quality and ecological responsibility that trends for the future can be set.

The judges

Five heads for a future

Dr. J. Daniel Dahm, Chairman of the Jury, summarises the decision round of the INTERNORGA Future Prize as intense and full of suspense. He and four other experts from business, science and society analyse, discuss and assess the submissions for the renowned competition in order to select a worthy winner for each category. According to jury member Bernd Aufderheide, the prize winners will benefit from the prize to the same extent as the industry benefits from their tireless commitment to a sustainable future.

In addition to internationally renowned sustainability experts Dr. J. Daniel Dahm and CEO of Hamburg Messe Bernd Aufderheide, the nutrition scientist Rainer Roehl and graduate engineer Carl-Otto Gensch are at the decision table. The expert jury is completed by the respected trend researcher and nutrition expert Hanni Rützler.
