Cream, Tomatoe confit, pork cheeks, parmiggiano, burrata, Amalfi and lemon zest must be on a winning pizza. That’s what the jury decided in the German preliminary of the Pizza World Cup at INTERNORGA. Pasquale Corvaglia will represent Germany in the final round in Parma.
This year the Italian kitchen took a special place at INTERNORGA. Highlight was the German preliminary of the Pizza World Cup.
In front of a live audience, 21 participants competed for a spot in the grand finale in Parma. In the end, Pasquale Corvaglia from St. Peter-Oerding convinced the jury with his extravagantconcept.
The recipe for success is all about choosing the right ingredients. “I chose them with great care. They are key in making the dough airy and the toppings juicy. I am extremely happy that the jury noticed how meticulous I was in making that choice”, says Pasquale Corvaglia proudly. In the final round of the Pizza World Cup, the managing director of the restaurant La Trattoria will compete against the winners of the other international preliminaries, which were held in Marseille, Melbourne, Moscow and Shanghai.
